Copyright Policy
This Copyright Policy explains how KIALS handles intellectual property rights, user uploads, generated study materials, and copyright complaints.
Last updated: May 14, 2026
This page is a website-ready copyright template for KIALS and should be reviewed by counsel before production use, especially if formal DMCA agent registration is required.
1. Respect for Intellectual Property
KIALS respects intellectual property rights and expects users to do the same. Our Service is designed to help users study from materials they are authorized to use, including notes, original documents, licensed training materials, institution-provided resources, and other lawful content.
Using KIALS does not give users ownership of KIALS software, patents, trademarks, algorithms, interface designs, or other proprietary technology.
2. Uploaded Materials
You are responsible for the materials you upload. By uploading content to KIALS, you represent that you own the content or have the necessary rights, licenses, permissions, or lawful basis to use it with the Service.
Examples of materials you may be authorized to upload include your own notes, original training documents, public-domain materials, materials licensed to you for study or internal training, and content your school, employer, or organization has authorized you to use.
3. Generated Study Materials
KIALS may generate questions, prompts, schedules, summaries, or other learning outputs from uploaded content. Generated outputs are intended for study and training support. They may reflect or be derived from uploaded materials, so your right to use generated outputs may depend on your right to use the source materials.
You are responsible for reviewing generated materials and using them in a manner consistent with copyright law, license restrictions, institutional policies, and applicable terms.
4. Prohibited Copyright Uses
You may not use KIALS to infringe copyrights or other intellectual property rights. Prohibited uses include:
- Uploading textbooks, course packs, test banks, manuals, slides, or other works you are not authorized to use.
- Using KIALS to reproduce, distribute, sell, or publicly display protected works without permission.
- Bypassing technical protection measures or access restrictions.
- Sharing generated outputs in a way that violates the rights or licenses attached to source materials.
- Using KIALS to support academic misconduct, credentialing violations, or unauthorized exam preparation materials.
5. Copyright Notices
If you believe content hosted or processed by KIALS infringes your copyright, you may send a notice to us. To help us review your request, include:
- Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
- A description of the allegedly infringing material and enough information for us to locate it.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, agent, or law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Send copyright notices to kialsadmin@kials.com.
6. Counter-Notices
If you believe content was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice. Include your contact information, identification of the removed material, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification, and your consent to applicable jurisdiction as required by law.
We may forward counter-notices to the original complainant and may restore content where permitted by law.
7. Repeat Infringers
KIALS may suspend or terminate accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyrights or repeatedly upload unauthorized materials. We may also restrict access, remove content, disable features, or take other appropriate action to protect rights holders and the Service.
